Advisory board

Independent Advisory Bodies and Stakeholder Involvement Policy Advisory Board (PAB) – consists of a number of practitioners, policymakers and end-users and is responsible for advising on policy tools, reflecting on comparative results and suggesting dissemination opportunities among academic and practitioner audiences. The rationale for the PAB is to ensure the influx of new ideas from outside the consortium and to advice on dissemination strategies, especially with respect to the transformation of scientific to practical and policy-oriented research. The advisory board consists of the following members:

Marit Maij – Executive Director at ActionAid Nederland, and president of the board at the Dutch UN Women National Committee. Formerly, she was the Special Migration Envoy for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands.

Nina Staal – Programme coordinator Labour mobility, social inclusion and resettlement at International Organization for Migration/IOM-UN migration.

Carlos Susías Rodado – head of the European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) More information on EAPN can be found here.

Meri de Campos – Programme and Learning Manager at SPARK, an NGO focused on empowering young people and entrepreneurs in regions affected by conflict, climate change and displacement.

Dirk Elsen – Chair of the Board of Directors at Vidomes and former director Emerging Markets at Triodos Investment Management.

Jildau Boerma – Policy and Programme manager at Sustainability Policy & Dialogue at Rabobank.

Filippo Barbera – Full professor of economic and labour sociology at the CPS Department of the University of Turin and fellow at Collegio Carlo Alberto. He works on social innovation, fundamental economics and development of shrinking areas.

Andrea Tomaso Torre – Director of Centro Studi Medì. Migrazioni nel Mediterraneo in Genoa (Italy) and co-director of “Mondi Migranti” Journal of Studies and Research on International Migration.

Luigi Maria Vignali – Directorate General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policy at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.  

Yagoub Kibeida – Executive Director of MOSAICO Association-Actions for Refugees based in Turin. More information can be found here.
